■chkrootkitをインストールしてみよう！■
chkrootkitはサーバに保存されているデータの改ざんを検知するためのツールです。CUIで動作するため、チェックもスムーズに行われます。今回はこれをインストールしてちょっとしたカスタマイズをする方法までをご紹介します。
▼インストール
最新版はこちらから入手できますがtar.gz形式で配布されているため、若干導入までが面倒です。そこでrpm形式のパッケージを探しましたのでこちらからダウンロードしてください。
インストールは簡単です。rootユーザ権限で上記ファイルをダウンロードしたディレクトリまで移動し、
rpm -ivh chkrootkit-0.47-1.rh7.rf.i386.rpm
で完了です。

では実際に使ってみましょう。rootユーザ権限になり、ターミナル上で
chkrootkit
と入力して実行します。すると以下のようにずらずらとチェックが行われます。

"nothing found"や"not deleted"、"not infected"という表示が出れば何事もないのでOKですが、万が一検出された場合は"found"や"infected"と表示されますので注意して表示をチェックしてください。
▼ちょっとしたカスタマイズ
このような処理は定期的に実行してサーバ管理者に結果を報告しないと意味がありません。そこでchkrootkitを定期的に自動実行して検査結果をメールで知らせるようにすることをおすすめします。
